About Me
Yoga has been a part of my life for over 30 years, and my practice has helped me become stronger, more flexible and courageous, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. I completed my RYT 200 hour Yoga Alliance, REPS level 3, YMCA and Active IQ with sun-power-yoga.co.uk and restorative yoga with camyoga.co.uk I will always be a student of Yoga and am grateful for the loving wisdom that all my teachers have shared with me over the years. In Yoga we aim to unite the body and the mind with the breath, this enables us to create space and movement within the body. My aim is to inspire and help you deepen your practice, even if you are just starting out, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling balanced and refreshed.
A Bit AboutÂ
jó-yoga
I am a certified and practicing Yoga Instructor. The foundation of my practice combines the physical with the inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, I’m able to promote awareness of personal health and wellbeing. I use my understanding of Yoga philosophy, mindfulness and asana to teach and cultivate an awareness of stillness in yoga practice and life off the mat.

Sun Power Yoga is a fusion of:

Hatha Yoga for Theory, Philosophy and Classical Asana
Iyengar Yoga For Alignment and Posture
Sivananda Yoga for subtle Mind & Breath Work
Ashtanga Yoga for Heat, Flexibility & Strength

A Bit About Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a practice for our time. Rest is a rare commodity these days. Yet without it the body and mind restoration and healing processes are compromised; exhaustion, anxiety and stress related conditions are now common. This nourishing practice brings about a shift from human doing to human being. Its power lies in its gentleness. It is an invitation to come home; to the present moment, to who we are and our true nature.

Practice & Education
Learn to Listen to Your Body
Workshops
Flow of Movement
Focus on the present moment. Among the benefits, workshops help improve many aspects of your life, including reaction time and short term memory. Those who have tried workshops become more relaxed and less distracted by their fleeting thoughts, demonstrating an enhanced ability to solve problems and retain and recall information better.

Yoga Philosophy
Controlled Concentration
Yoga Philosophy is based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. Yoga classes at jó-yoga attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.
